What is Metaphysics?

The word metaphysics has become the description of so many things and so many fields of interest, to include any number of combinations of subjects such as religion, spiritualism, yoga, meditation, mysticism, astrology, numerology, self-help, life after death, positive thinking and many others. The common denominator between all of these subjects is that they all deal with Spirit/Energy and Physical Matter also known as reality.

In some circles it is known as the Religion of the New Age or New Thought. But what is metaphysics really? It is the Ancient Wisdom of the Mystery Schools that served only elite students and initiates of higher spiritual knowledge.
